  •  Residents & Dermatology Fellows -- At the request of your department chair, all residents are automatically registered.  However if you are not attending, please contact the CDS office by email - Rich@ChicagoDerm.org  so we can take you off the list.

  • Medical Students:  Register Medical Students Here 
    • Dermatology departments at one of the medical schools are asked to use the online form to register any medical students who will be attending. A faculty member must be the sponsor for the student/guest.  Please observe the normal registration deadlines!  It is your responsibility to let the medical student know the details for the meeting location and time.
  • Guests - All guests must be physicians, medical students or research associates accompanied by a member.  They need to pre-register using the paper form. The registration fee for guests is $35.  CLICK HERE for a PDF copy of the form (may be completed on your computer and then printed out).

Please note this important dealine:  Registrations submitted after 8 a.m. Monday, October 12, are considered "late."  After that time, advance registrations will be closed; please contact the CDS office if you wish to submit a late registration.

Timothy Johnson MDTimothy M. Johnson MD 
Lewis and Lillian Becker Professor of Dermatology
University of Michigan 

Ann Arbor, MI 

Dr. Tim Johnson received his medical degree and dermatology residency training at the University of Texas at Houston. After completing additional fellowship training in cutaneous surgery and oncology at the University of Michigan and the University of Oregon, he joined the University of Michigan faculty in 1990 with appointments in the departments of Dermatology, Otolaryngology and Surgery (Division of Plastic Surgery). Dr. Johnson has served as clinical director of the Cutaneous Oncology and Multidisciplinary Melanoma Programs since 1990.

He has received many clinical, teaching, and research honors; delivered numerous national and international keynote and named lectureships over the last two decades; and is a benchmark for clinical care. He served on the board of directors and executive committees of several national and international organizations that impact dermatology, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.He is an investigator on grants, clinical trials, and numerous research activities.His publication portfolio includes over 200 original peer-reviewed publications and 25 chapters published in mainstream dermatology, surgery, and oncology journals.

The December meeting take place on the 6th floor of the Gleacher Center, the University of Chicago's business school conference center in downtown Chicago.  It is located at 450 Cityfront Plaza Drive on the Chicago River west of Columbus Drive.  The NBC Tower is immediately adjacent to the Gleacher Center.

So that we can better plan the meeting, please register no later than 8:00 a.m. on October 12.  Registrations received after that time are considered late.  Annual CDS dues includes attendance at the monthly meeting.  There is no charge for members in good standing.    Residents & fellows in training are not charged, and they are automatically registered for each meeting.  (Residents who are unable to attend are asked to contact the CDS office so we can make the appropriate adjustments.)

Educational Items

Course Director:  Julie Moore, MD

Target Audience:  Practicing dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows.

Objectives:  At the conclusion of the 2015/16 series of lectures, the participant should be able to:

1. Discuss key factors in the diagnosis and treatment for viral diseases and bacterial infections.

2. Describe the manifestation of skin cancers and the efficacy of treatments available to the dermatologist.

3. List the therapeutic options available to the dermatologist for a variety of skin diseases, both medical and surgical, and discuss how new emerging treatments can be successfully incorporated into a dermatology practice.

Conference participants are asked to turn in their CME attendance form and evaluation form before leaving the meeting.  A CME credit certificate will be mailed following the conference.  Residents also must return the attendance form in order to be marked "present."  Thank you for your assistance in this important activity.
