  •  Residents & Dermatology Fellows -- At the request of your department chair, all residents are automatically registered.  However if you are not attending, please contact the CDS office by email -  so we can take you off the list.

  • Medical Students:  Register Medical Students Here 
    • Dermatology departments at one of the medical schools are asked to use the online form to register any medical students who will be attending. A faculty member must be the sponsor for the student/guest.  Please observe the normal registration deadlines!  It is your responsibility to let the medical student know the details for the meeting location and time.
  • Guests - All guests must be physicians, medical students or research associates accompanied by a member.  They need to pre-register using the paper form. The registration fee for guests is $35.  CLICK HERE for a PDF copy of the form (may be completed on your computer and then printed out).

Please note this important dealine:  Registrations submitted after 8 a.m. Monday, September 4th, are considered "late."  After that time, advance registrations will be closed; please contact the CDS office if you wish to submit a late registration.

This Month's Guest Speaker

Dr. MowadChristen M. Mowad, MD 
Director of Contact and Occupational Dermatitis ClinicGeisinger Medical Center
Danville, PA

Dr. Mowad received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and completed both her internship in internal medicine and her residency in dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident in dermatology. She is an adjunct clinical professor at Temple University in Philadelphia.  Currently, she is Director of Contact and Occupational Dermatitis Clinic at the Geisinger Medical Center.

Dr. Mowad has published widely and has presented extensively on a national level. She is past president of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Noah Worcester Dermatological Society, and the American Dermatological Society. She serves on the editorial board of Cutis and is a section editor for the American Journal of Contact Dermatitis. She is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), Pediatric Dermatology, Dermatitis, and Cutis.

Dr. Mowad is board certified in dermatology and has been listed in Best Doctors in America every year since 2005.

  • Parking – We recommend parking in the Rosemont convention center  garage which is located just west of River Rd. Turn west on Williams Street which runs between the Doubletree Hotel and the Embassy Suites. The cost is $13.
  • CTA – The CTA Blue Line (to O'Hare) has a stop in Rosemont only about two blocks away from the convention center.

So that we can better plan the meeting, please register no later than 8:00 a.m. on September 4th.  Registrations received after that time are considered late.  Annual CDS dues includes attendance at the monthly meeting.  There is no charge for members in good standing.    Residents & fellows in training are not charged, and they are automatically registered for each meeting.  (Residents who are unable to attend are asked to contact the CDS office so we can make the appropriate adjustments.)

Educational Items

Course Director:  Rebecca Tung, MD

Target Audience:  Practicing dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows.

Conference participants are asked to turn in their CME attendance form and evaluation form before leaving the meeting.  A CME credit certificate will be mailed following the conference.  Residents also must return the attendance form in order to be marked "present."  Thank you for your assistance in this important activity.
