    • Dermatology departments at one of the medical schools are asked to use the online form to register any medical students who will be attending. A faculty member must be the sponsor for the student/guest.  Please observe the normal registration deadlines!  It is your responsibility to let the medical student know the details for the meeting location and time.
  • Guests - All guests must be physicians, medical students or research associates accompanied by a member.  They need to pre-register using the paper form. The registration fee for guests is $35.  CLICK HERE for a PDF copy of the form.

This Month's Guest Speaker

Ronald Moy, MD 
Beverly Hills, CA

Dr. Moy earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College and Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute Combined Program in1981. He then completed his dermatology residency training at UCLA and a Facial Cosmetic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Center for Health Services.

As a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Moy has served as President of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (2004-2005), President of the Division of Medical Quality, Medical Board of California (2005) and President of the American Academy of Dermatology (2011-2012). He also has been a professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, is a former Co-Chief of the UCLA division of Dermatology, is a former Chief of Dermatologic Surgery, served on the Editorial Board of the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, is a former president of Los Angeles County Medical Association Bay District, and is past Editor-in-Chief of the Dermatologic Surgery Journal. He is on the Editorial Board of Aesthetic Surgery, the leading cosmetic surgery publication for facial plastic surgeons.

Dr. Moy is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has published more than 200 scholarly articles on cosmetic and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Moy’s most common lecture invitations include facelifts, eyelifts and neck lifts. He has written books and chapters on advanced facelifts and blepharoplasties. Dr. Moy has operated more than 30,000 cases of Mohs micrographic surgery and facial plastic surgery over the past 25 years.

  • Parking – We recommend parking in the Rosemont convention center  garage which is located just west of River Rd. Turn west on Williams Street which runs between the Doubletree Hotel and the Embassy Suites. The cost is $13.
  • CTA – The CTA Blue Line (to O'Hare) has a stop in Rosemont only about two blocks away from the convention center.

So that we can better plan the meeting, please register no later than 8:00 a.m. on September 10th.  Registrations received after that time are considered late.  Annual CDS dues includes attendance at the monthly meeting.  There is no charge for members in good standing.    Residents & fellows in training are not charged, and they are automatically registered for each meeting.  (Residents who are unable to attend are asked to contact the CDS office so we can make the appropriate adjustments.)

Educational Items

Target Audience:  Practicing dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows.

Conference participants are asked to turn in their CME attendance form and evaluation form before leaving the meeting.  A CME credit certificate will be mailed following the conference.  Residents also must return the attendance form in order to be marked "present."  Thank you for your assistance in this important activity.
