  •  Residents & Dermatology Fellows -- At the request of your department chair, all residents are automatically registered.  However if you are not attending, please contact the CDS office by email - [email protected]  so we can take you off the list.

  • Medical Students:  Register Medical Students Here 
    • Dermatology departments at one of the medical schools are asked to use the online form to register any medical students who will be attending. A faculty member must be the sponsor for the student/guest.  Please observe the normal registration deadlines!  It is your responsibility to let the medical student know the details for the meeting location and time.
  • Guests - All guests must be physicians, medical students or research associates accompanied by a member.  They need to pre-register using the paper form. The registration fee for guests is $35.  CLICK HERE for a PDF copy of the form.

Please note this important deadline:  Registrations submitted after 8 a.m. Monday, September 9th, are considered "late."  After that time, advance registrations will be closed; please contact the CDS office if you wish to submit a late registration.


This Month's Guest Speaker

Stephen Wolverton, MD 
Indiana University School of Medicine
Theodore Arlook Professor of Dermatology
Indianapolis, IN

After receiving his undergraduate degree at Ball State University in 1975, Dr. Wolverton attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine and received his MD degree in 1979. Dr. Wolverton initially pursued a career in Family Practice, completing his residency at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio in 1982. This residency was followed by a year in a junior faculty position at the same FP residency program.

Dr. Wolverton initiated his Dermatology career completing his residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, from 1983 to 1985. Subsequent faculty positions have included Wright State University (Fellow Instructor 1986-1987), Ohio State University (1987-1990, including a year as Acting Division Director), and the long-term faculty position in the Dermatology Department at the Indiana University School of Medicine (1990-present). His current position is Theodore Arlook Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Professor of Clinical Dermatology.

Dr. Wolverton’s long-term academic interest has been systemic drug use in Dermatology, focusing on all aspects of Drug Safety, including a more recent focus in the complex area of Drug Interactions.  READ MORE

  • Parking – We recommend parking in the Rosemont convention center  garage which is located just west of River Rd. Turn west on Williams Street which runs between the Doubletree Hotel and the Embassy Suites. The cost is $13.
  • CTA – The CTA Blue Line (to O'Hare) has a stop in Rosemont only about two blocks away from the convention center.

So that we can better plan the meeting, please register no later than 8:00 a.m. on September 10th.  Registrations received after that time are considered late.  Annual CDS dues includes attendance at the monthly meeting.  There is no charge for members in good standing.    Residents & fellows in training are not charged, and they are automatically registered for each meeting.  (Residents who are unable to attend are asked to contact the CDS office so we can make the appropriate adjustments.)

Educational Items

Course Director:  Maria Tsoukas, MD PhD

Target Audience:  Practicing dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows.

Conference participants are asked to turn in their CME attendance form and evaluation form before leaving the meeting.  A CME credit certificate will be mailed following the conference.  Residents also must return the attendance form in order to be marked "present."  Thank you for your assistance in this important activity.
